25 LBS - Garnet #20/40 Grit/Mesh Sand Blasting and Waterjet Abrasive Media, Medium Grade This general purpose Commercial garnet, blasting abrasive which delivers the most efficient and cost-effective blast cleaning on most surfaces that have medium rust or medium thickness coatings. This is natural Almandine Garnet, "the only eco-friendly abrasive mineral in the world" with its advantages far outreaching its alternatives. Its unique grain hardness and toughness guarantee productivity & efficiency. Garnet with precise size and low dust is found to be effective in cutting stainless steel, marbles, granite, titanium alloys, glasses, garments etc. with high accuracy to any geometrical shape. Removal of mill scale, surface preparation of stainless steel, aluminum and titanium, as well as etching glass. Produces surface profile of 85-105 μm (3.3-4.2mil). Blasting rates : up to 20m²/hr (315ft2/hr). Consumption rate : from 15kg/m² (3lb/ft2)
