This Tefen industrial straight hose adapter is made of gray nylon 6/6 and has a barbed connection on one end and a female NPT threaded connection on the other to connect a tube or a hose to a male NPT threaded connection in a straight run. The barbed connection creates a tight seal on a tube or hose when secured with a Tefen snap clip (not included), and the female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded end connects with a male NPT threaded connection, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This adapter (also called a connector) is made of nylon 6/6 for lightweight, strength, and resistance to corrosion from most chemicals and solvents. The maximum operating pressure for this fitting is 200 pounds per square inch (psi) (14 bar) at 68 degrees F (20 degrees C) in a temperature range of -5 to +230 degrees F (-20 to +110 degrees C), subject to application. It meets NSF International/American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard 61 for drinking water system components – health effects.
