Secura Key's e*Tag USB Micro Reader is a USB gadget that slots into any standard computer USB port, enabling it to read and write to 13.56 MHz ISO 15693 and 14443 A and B contactless smart cards or tags. This USB Micro Reader is perfect for any PC-based application utilizing HF RFID (Contactless) cards or tags, such as inventory, asset tracking, retail, loyalty, apparel, manufacturing, construction, transportation, security and access control, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and libraries. The USB Micro Reader acts as a pass-through device, allowing an application program to communicate directly with an HF card or tag. It appears as a Virtual COM Port to a Windows application. The device is powered via the USB port, suitable for both desktop and notebook computers, and is compatible with USB 2.0 Full Speed. The Micro USB Reader features a built-in antenna and includes an MMCX connector, compatible with any 50-Ohm 13.56 MHz external antenna. A recessed switch enables users to switch between external and internal antennas. The USB Micro reader boasts a translucent blue ABS plastic housing, with an internal LED status indicator visible through the housing.
